Loan Officer

Please Note:

This is a Utah-based hybrid position, which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with Medallion Bank is contingent on passing both a background check and maintaining a clean background.

You will be responsible for the processing and underwriting of consumer credit applications received from a variety of origination sources within an indirect lending department. Involves direct communication with the recreation dealers and applicants to reach quality loan decisions. You will gather necessary information to make sound credit decisions. Responds to application inquiries from selected dealers. Performs other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and business unit.

This position holds complete lending authority.

College degree in finance or related field preferred. May be substituted with at least 4 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Will interact with department management of the Bank, along with regulators and other outside professionals.
• Proven experience in effective credit underwriting.
• Self‑motivated and hard working. Must be able to handle multiple functions simultaneously and function in a high‑pressure environment.
• Team player.
• Quality non‑prime consumer underwriting decisions.
• Ability to successfully work in team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make sound credit decisions and communicate decisions effectively.
