Join St. Mark's Hospital as a Cardiac Sonographer.

Schedule:

10‑hour shifts (7 am–5:30 pm or 8 am–6:30 pm) rotating on‑call weekends and rotating weekday call once every 12–13 days.

As an Echo/Vascular Tech, you will work with a team that considers themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

• You will, under the direction of the Manager, be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra‑operative echocardiograms within the inpatient, outpatient, or intra‑operative settings.
• You will provide physicians with complete, accurate anatomical and functional diagnostic information.
• You will accurately prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with all tests that have been ordered by physicians.
• You will follow established surveillance, prevention and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.
• You will expertly perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned specialty service areas utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical practice standards, hospital guidelines, and protocols.
• With proper training and knowledge of other functions within the cardiology services, you may perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and/or operational tasks that manifest a teamwork environment.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• Must have cardiac sonography experience.
