Medical Records Clerk

In this position, you will be:

• Answering inquiries of general nature from applicants, visitors and professional staff, assisting them in a friendly and cooperative manner
• Maintain records for past and present clients
• Maintain medical records in locked cabinets to assure confidentiality of patient information
• Set up new patient clinical records
• File documentation on patient charts in chronological order in appropriate locations, weekly
• Monitor check-in and check-out of patient charts by office and field staff
• Assist staff in locating charts and documentation
• Log in and out physician orders and mail orders to the appropriate physicians
• Develop and implement systems to assure organization and timely retrieval of documentation
• Break down discharged patients records and give them to the Q.I. Department for review discharge
• Maintain and store all discharged patient charts
• Assist with the orientation of new employees as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
