Position Overview
The Human Resources & Office Coordinator plays a dual role supporting human resources operations while ensuring the office runs efficiently and professionally. This position is responsible for assisting with employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, background checks, HR compliance, and managing office supplies and facilities.
Human ResourceKey Responsibilities
- Support HR department: educate employees on and enforce company policies.
- Onboarding: assist with new‑hire procedures, organize orientation, create employee files, and ensure all required paperwork is correctly completed and submitted to the HRIS.
- HR support contact: serve as a point of contact for general HR inquiries under the Director of HR.
- Employee engagement: support initiatives that strengthen company culture.
- Conflict resolution: document issues and, when necessary, elevate them to HR leadership.
- Additional HR responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Assist with payroll preparation by gathering timesheets and updating employee information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist in daily office operations to maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Manage office supplies, inventory, and ordering.
- Assist with company swag distribution and shipping to multiple locations.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and relationships with facility vendors.
- Handle mail, deliveries, and shipping as needed.
- Organize company events, staff meetings, executive meetings, celebrations, and team‑building activities.
- Maintain calendars, prepare reports, and support special projects.
- Additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in HR support, office assistance, or administrative roles.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations as needed.
- Highly organized, efficient, and skilled at multitasking.
- Empathy, sound judgment, and reliability.
- Ability to follow directions and pivot tasks quickly.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
Physical Requirements
- Onsite work required to support daily office operations.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 25 lbs.
