About Passive Logic

About

The Role

We’re looking for a very specific kind of brain: part strategic finance architect, part market anthropologist, part data‑systems engineer. You can take a chaotic, multi-variable world and turn it into models that behave like little universes, explaining what drives outcomes and what levers actually matter.

What we’re not looking for: an accountant, a spreadsheet jockey, or a modeler whose method is “add another tab called _REAL.” Instead, we want durable, elegant model systems, not one‑off calculators.

What You’ll Do
  • Build simulation‑grade pro forma and financial models to drive product strategy, pricing, capital planning, and long‑range decision making.
  • Architect market frameworks across regions (EU, US, APAC), including regulatory triggers and adoption curves.
  • Analyze customer behavior, partner economics, and ecosystem dynamics to uncover hidden leverage.
  • Run pricing tests, cohort analyses, and scenario trees for major product and market decisions.
  • Build data pipelines and dashboards that keep the team tapped into real‑world signals.
  • Translate complex findings into narrative insights for leadership and board conversations.
  • Deliver models that not only report but also advise, simulate, and reveal strategy.
Who You Are
  • You think in systems, not rows and columns.
  • You architect models that feel like software, not spreadsheets.
  • You see relationships, feedback loops, and causal structure—core logic, not noise.
  • You can zoom from 30,000 feet to cell‑level detail without losing the thread.
  • You’re deeply curious about technology and how markets actually form.
  • You love big, ambiguous questions and the thrill of bringing clarity to them.
  • You’re the person who says, “Hold up—let’s model this properly.”
  • You have long attention spans, strong analytical discipline, and a “get it right” mentality.
  • You tell stories with numbers—turning insight into direction, not just dashboards.
Why This Role Matters

We’re building at the intersection of AI, autonomy, physics, hardware, and software. Scaling this requires models that understand systems, not just numbers. Your models become part of our operating system, shaping what we build, where we focus, and how fast we grow.

What Success Looks Like (3‑6 Months)
  • Built a planning model that becomes the single source of truth for the company.
  • Delivered dashboards and intelligence that make the team feel like they’re seeing around corners.
  • Surfaced hidden leverage across pricing, margins, GTM focus, and product sequencing.
  • Equipped leadership with defensible, dynamic models for investors and strategic decisions.
  • Become the person people ask before they make a big decision.
What You’ll Bring

If your experience does not meet all our posted requirements below, we’d still love to hear from you. We are looking for practitioners who are passionate about understanding people, committed to lifelong learning, and driven by the love of what they do.

You Must Have
  • BS/BA in economics, finance, data science, business, engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in strategic finance, data modeling, or market analysis roles.
  • A portfolio of your best models.
  • Deep experience with financial modeling, market research, or analytics.
  • Proven ability to build complex, elegant spreadsheet systems—operational software disguised as rows and columns.
  • Comfortable across multiple tools; you haven’t spent your life locked inside Excel.
  • Collaborative, ownership‑minded, and able to reconcile multiple viewpoints.
You Should Have
  • Experience with logistics, manufacturing, or complex hardware/software ecosystems.
  • Programming ability (Python, JavaScript, Swift, Julia, R, etc.).
  • Experien…
