Job Location s:
Texas (TX), Kansas (KS), Oklahoma (OK), Utah (UT). The position is field‑based and requires frequent travel across North America.
- Install analytical X‑ray equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to written P.M. procedures.
- Analyze malfunctioning X‑ray equipment and determine corrective action.
- Replace faulty components and carry out necessary adjustments and alignments.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports covering all job activities.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training of field service personnel when required.
- Suggest methods to improve equipment performance and functionality.
- Travel up to 80% in North America.
- Provide repair and training support for the Madison, WI office as requested.
- Be available during normal working hours for immediate response to reassignment and telephone support.
- Remain in contact with assigned customers to ensure that there are no unreported problems.
- Promote and maintain service contracts in the assigned region.
- Keep up‑to‑date on new product and product changes within the sphere of activity to increase capabilities and skills.
- Conduct all field assignments according to service department procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, diagnose, and repair complex equipment problems in a minimum amount of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.
- Familiarity with the operation and use of standard electronic test equipment.
- Familiarity with the use of personal computers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
