Position: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Fractional
We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Professional to join our team on a part-time basis (1-2 days/week). This role is ideal for an experienced IT leader who thrives in a hands‑on technical environment while also providing strategic oversight and mentorship. You’ll support and enhance our IT infrastructure, guide technology initiatives, and ensure systems meet evolving business needs.

This role may be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity from either our Salt Lake City, UT office or our Sidney, OH office.

Essential Duties:

• Provide expert‑level support for infrastructure, network, and systems administration (e.g. Windows, cloud environments) to ensure compliance, availability, and performance.

• Lead or advise on IT strategy, architecture decisions, and digital transformation efforts.

• Oversee or support cybersecurity measures, compliance, and risk management.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement technological solutions.

• Mentor IT staff and contribute to knowledge transfer and training.

• Monitor systems performance, recommend upgrades, and troubleshoot complex issues.

• Continuously identify needs and vulnerabilities in IT space and implement solutions to mitigate risks.

• Assist with IT budgeting, vendor negotiations, and lifecycle planning.

• 15+ years in IT roles with progressive responsibility.

• Proven experience in systems administration, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), and enterprise‑level IT operations.

• Strong understanding of IT security frameworks and risk management practices.

• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP or Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator.

• Previous experience in startups, SMBs, or consulting environments.
