Overview (What This Role Is All About)

Cotopaxi is looking for an experienced UX/UI Manager to join our team! As the UX/UI Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the design of intuitive, inspiring experiences that simplify and elevate the customer journey on  You’ll be a tireless advocate for our customers, guiding the team through thoughtful research, testing, and iteration to discover what resonates most and what inspires people to adventure and Do Good.

The ideal candidate is innately curious and analytical, with a deep passion for understanding customer behavior and journeys. They thrive on translating insights into impactful design solutions that improve eCommerce performance and create meaningful, human‑centered experiences. They bring both strategic perspective and hands‑on execution, with the technical fluency to partner closely with engineering teams and, when needed, implement or test front‑end solutions yourself.

As a strong collaborator and communicator, the UX/UI Manager will bring cross‑functional teams together to simplify complexity, align priorities, and co‑create cohesive user experiences across the site. They’ll enjoy working with customer data to uncover needs, validate ideas, and build solutions that make  an experience customers truly love.

Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Make An Impact)
  • Champion the voice of the customer by leading consumer research and translating insights into clear UX strategy and business requirements for
  • Lead the creation of high‑quality UX/UI designs that balance visual excellence with usability and performance, delivering artifacts such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, and experience vision concepts.
  • Own and evolve Cotopaxi’s UX/UI design system and component library to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across digital experiences.
  • Develop, test, and iterate UI mockups and interactive prototypes that clearly communicate intended functionality, interaction patterns, and user intent.
  • Define and lead the web testing and personalization strategy and roadmap, partnering closely with eCommerce and Technology teams to manage the end‑to‑end testing lifecycle.
  • Execute and oversee A/B testing, multivariate testing, and site personalization initiatives to optimize the customer shopping experience and drive measurable improvements in conversion and engagement.
  • Establish and uphold UI standards for typography, color, imagery, and interaction patterns to maintain brand and experience consistency.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Site Merchandising partners to shape a cohesive content strategy that supports storytelling, commerce goals, and user needs.
  • Guide the application of UX research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, to continuously improve the end‑to‑end customer experience.
The Ideal Candidate (What You’ll Bring to the Table)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in UX/UI Design, Interactive Design, Digital Product Development, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of hands‑on UX/UI design experience.
