What you will do:

If you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the perfect candidate for our Reliability and Production Engineering (RPE) team.
As an RPE team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and capacity of our trading, data analytics, settlement, and risk systems. You will work closely with our development and business teams to design, implement, and monitor solutions that automate IT operational tasks and enable continuous delivery of new features. You will also troubleshoot and resolve incidents and emergencies using data-driven analysis and best practices.
- Support horizontal frame operations, providing excellent support to business users on critical business issues for legal, finance, regulatory, and ED&S applications.
- Ensure client issues are resolved within defined SLAs, meeting resolution expectations.
- Leverage team tools to manage system and critical incidents, focusing on timely resolution and strategic solutions.
- Analyze new issues and document fixes, training other colleagues in the support team.
- Monitor systems and resolve day‑to‑day batch stream issues, reporting on stream status as needed.
- Provide detailed analysis and governance reports to senior management.
- Minimum 5-7 years of mainframe experience in JCL and COBOL; experience with Adabas/Natural is a plus.
- Prior production IT support experience is a plus; development‑only backgrounds may have higher turnover rates.
- Ability to work shifts that start and finish later local time (12 PM–1 PM, 9 PM–10 PM MT).
- Strong interest and aptitude for training in supporting distributed Linux/Java‑based applications; prior exposure to Linux/Unix or Java is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines; during critical processing times, turnaround on critical job abends is expected to be a maximum of 30 minutes.
- Familiarity with the full incident lifecycle: identification, escalation, communication to both technical and business users, and post‑incident follow‑ups; familiarity with a tool like Service Now is a plus.
- Willingness to cover weekend and other off‑shift coverage occasionally as part of a team rotation schedule.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to both business and technical audiences.
