As our Senior P&C Underwriter
, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing Corgi s underwriting strategy. You ll bring deep technical expertise in property & casualty risk evaluation and combine it with a forward-looking mindset to help us design scalable, compliant, and competitive underwriting frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to apply your underwriting experience in a high-growth environment where your decisions will directly influence our products, portfolio, and long-term success.
- Lead underwriting strategy across multiple P&C product lines
- Develop and refine risk appetite, underwriting guidelines, and frameworks that enable automation and scalability
- Collaborate with actuarial, product, regulatory, and operations teams to launch and manage new insurance products
- Provide expert input into regulatory filings and respond to inquiries from state insurance departments
- Monitor portfolio performance and implement adjustments to maintain profitability and risk integrity
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert to junior underwriters as the team expands
- 10+ years of P&C underwriting experience, preferably in commercial lines
- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience launching or expanding insurance products or programs
- Ability to balance traditional underwriting discipline with innovative, technology-driven approaches
- Exceptional judgment, analytical ability, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
