Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high-quality professional American Sign Language interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations when needed. Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language and spoken English language skills, accurate interpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Job Requirements
- Must work 24 hours per week.
- Must accept new or alternative interpreting assignments based on customer demand.
- Must pass the company's interpreting skills assessment.
- Must attend and complete a 40-hour New Hire Training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting.
- Support and model the company’s mission and values.
- Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and respect.
- Maintain punctuality, preparedness, and accurate record-keeping.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and FCC regulations.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Participate in professional development training.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Have the ability to travel independently, with access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Fluent ASL and spoken English skills.
- Ability to provide accurate interpretation.
- Understanding of Deaf culture.
- Knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
- Three to five years of interpreting experience (preferred but not required).
- State licensure or credentials if applicable.
- Must be 18 years or older.
