Overview

Language Services Associates is seeking Mandarin interpreters in Salt Lake City, Utah. As part of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community across various settings, including medical, legal, and customer service. We are continuously accepting qualified interpreters for a wide range of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Follow the Code of Professional Conduct, maintaining confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, interpretation protocols, and industry best practices
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in English and Mandarin
• Knowledge of industry best practices (professionalism, courtesy, confidentiality)
• Ability to deliver high-quality client service
• Access to personal or public transportation
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry certifications (e.g., CMI, CCHI) preferred
