Job Details

As a Labor & Employment Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Representing clients in labor and employment-related litigation, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employee misconduct.
  • Advising clients on various labor and employment issues, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Defending clients against claims brought under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).
  • Developing and implementing employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conducting investigations into allegations of employee misconduct and providing legal advice and recommendations to clients based on the findings.
  • Negotiating and drafting employment agreements, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.
  • Providing training and education to clients on labor and employment law issues.
Qualifications

To be considered for the Labor & Employment Attorney position, you must have:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to California state bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on defending clients against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employee misconduct.
  • Proven experience with PAGA and FEHA claims.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality legal services and achieving client satisfaction.
