Senior Litigation Paralegal

Pia Hoyt Law Firm a mid-sized law firm in downtown Salt Lake City, is looking to hire a full-time Paralegal, with at least 5 years of experience, who is personable, organized, a self-starter and able to multi-task. We offer an excellent benefits package and competitive salary. Personal Injury litigation a plus.

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, oppositions, discovery requests and responses, for cases in state courts and federal courts.
• Knowledge of e-filing pleadings and documents for state courts and federal courts.
• Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, and court clerks.
• Maintain and organize client files, records, and documents.
• Keep cases organized by entering deadlines, monitoring calendars, documenting scheduling orders, etc.
• Organize, monitor and save all electronic case filings and documents.
• Create and manage large electronic discovery productions.
• Schedule hearings, depositions and coordinate with court reporters.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions.
• Some billing responsibilities will be required and to assist with other duties as assigned and needed.

• Candidate must have ability to work accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro and Teams is required.
• Experience in e-filing in both state and federal courts is required.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, able to comprehend and analyze legal documents, problem solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to handle confidential and legally sensitive information.

We offer a competitive wage and full benefits package including medical, dental, disability and retirement savings benefits.

Wage: $78,000 - $90,000 per year upon qualifications.
