A wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Chick-fil-A Supply is a distribution service provider focused entirely on serving the unique needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants. This new subsidiary is in the early stages of development and is a dynamic, fast-paced work environment focused on launching this new service to Restaurants across the nation.
Responsibilities- Coordination:
Prepare staffing plans and adjust as needed to meet daily operational goals; plan, allocate, and coordinate all activities in the WMS; manage movement of resources to optimize dock flow; monitor order changes and assign work in the WMS/JDA system; coordinate with Customer Service and Transportation to fulfill urgent deliveries and will call requests; release work to the picking queue to facilitate staging and loading in stop order;
assign emergency replenishment tasks; print transfer paperwork; coordinate with Transportation for pre-load trailer inspections and pre-cooling per temperature zone specifications; identify and resolve loading issues; print end-of-day packing slips and reconcile orders; track inbound purchase orders, schedule deliveries, and monitor inbound trucks; collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve OS&D items and communicate resolutions; maintain organized work areas and ensure documentation retrieval;
provide timely information to stakeholders (purchasing, vendors, security, leadership) and update data in MS Excel and WMS apps; monitor and manage receiving emails (appointment requests, late communications, scheduling delays, Armada edits); contribute to all inbound/outbound activities as needed.
- Training:
Develops and manages all new hire training for the Warehouse (classroom and hands-on) within the first 90 days, including PIT training and recertification; develop cross-training for all Warehouse roles; maintain a Warehouse Skills Matrix; identify best practices to improve training effectiveness; partner with Supervisors to identify process opportunities and roll out new processes; recertify experienced team members on systems, equipment, functions, and safety;
assist in developing and delivering safety programs; participate in process improvement activities (Gemba walks, Kaizen, etc.).
- 2+ years of warehouse experience
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills
- Exemplary performance and safety record
- Certified on pallet rider, counterbalance, and hi-reach (cherry picker preferred)
- Proven ability to work independently with initiative and urgency
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Solid understanding of inbound and outbound operational priorities and processes
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office
- Solutions-oriented, proactive problem solver
- 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in distribution
- Experience leading training, facilitating meetings, managing operations, and resolving exceptions
- 10%
