As a Facilities, Health, Safety, and Environmental (FHSE) Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, health, and environmental sustainability of our team. You will oversee and implement strategies to promote a safe and healthy work environment while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and manage facility maintenance operations to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities- Lead CORE (Behavior Based Safety Program at CG&P) activities to build a safety-first culture.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education using Central’s safety program to promote awareness.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses, develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve safety processes and procedures.
- Lead safety committee to promote onsite collaboration to solve safety concerns.
- Oversee health initiatives to promote employee well‑being and prevent occupational illnesses.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to implement wellness programs and occupational health services.
- Provide guidance on ergonomics, workplace design, and other factors affecting employee health.
- Develop and implement environmental management systems to minimize the organization’s footprint.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits, including waste management and emissions control.
- Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify opportunities for sustainable practices and resource conservation.
- Oversee maintenance and operation of facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, preventive maintenance schedules and repair procedures.
- Manage facility projects – renovations, expansions, equipment installations – while considering health, safety and environmental impacts.
- Monitor facility performance metrics such as energy consumption and resource usage and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards related to safety, health and environmental management.
- Interpret regulations and assess their impact on organizational operations.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and third‑party auditors to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, management, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Professional safety certification (e.g., CSP, CIH), environmental management (e.g., CEM, CEP) or related discipline highly desirable.
- Proven experience in facilities management, occupational health and safety, and environmental compliance, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and experience with regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed decision‑making.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire a culture of safety, health and environmental responsibility.
