Production Manager, Operations Engineer
Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is a leading manufacturer of lightweight composite aerospace structures and components. We are seeking a highly skilled Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role is integral to ensuring efficient production planning and execution through the effective use of SAP and other advanced planning tools.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing resource utilization.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure schedules align with project objectives.
- Material Planning:
- Monitor material requirements and availability to support production schedules.
- Work closely with procurement to address material shortages and ensure timely delivery of components.
- SAP Utilization:
- Use SAP for scheduling, material planning, and production tracking.
- Ensure accuracy of data within SAP, including BOMs, routings, and work center capacities.
- Capacity Management:
- Assess and analyze production capacities, identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Implement strategies to balance workloads and ensure smooth operations.
- Change Management:
- Respond to schedule changes driven by customer demands, supply chain disruptions, or production issues.
- Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders and adjust plans as necessary.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership.
Day – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Experience, Education, and Skills- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
- Proven experience using SAP (Production Planning and Materials Management modules).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and materials management.
- Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Contractor Requirements: As a Department of Defense contractor, we are required to hire U.S. Persons. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
