Description

MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Caser who considers themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As Caser/Palletizer in the Finishing Department, you will be responsible for reviewing job tickets for packing requirements, and staging the corrugated cases and layer board for palletizing finished products, as well as breaking down and returning extra cases to inventory.

This position is responsible for stacking and palletizing cases, moving them to Finished Goods, wrapping and labeling pallets. Responsibilities include assisting in additional warehouse duties as needed.

What will you do in this role?
  • Review job tickets for packing requirements.
  • Stage corrugated cases and layer board for each machine.
  • Palletize finished cases to the packing and labeling requirements of customer specifications.
  • Transport completed pallets to Finished Goods.
  • Regularly Inspect cases to ensure product meets customer specifications.
  • Wrap and move pallets to approved locations using either a hand truck or forklift.
  • Complete Finished Goods reporting.
  • Break down and return all unused cases to corrugated inventory.
  • Additional functions include labeling cases, manually stacking sealed cases onto pallets, housekeeping, material handling, assisting the Gluing Operator and working as assigned.
Qualifications Basic Requirements
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Computer Skills – Basic computer skills are required to read work instructions, record job data, follow work schedule, and communicate via email.
Preferred Requirements
  • Forklift certification
  • GED or High School Equivalent
  • Flexible, adaptable, and teamwork oriented. Able to perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment; respond to continually changing priorities and co-ordinate multiple projects.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. This position requires repetitive lifting and bending. The employee must be able to stand for 8+ hours. The employee must be able to regularly lift/or move 45 pounds.
