Machine Operator I - SLC at American Textile Company

Responsible for safe and effective operation of all pillow manufacturing equipment.

• Maintenance:
  Maintain pillow production areas, keep environment safe and clean, and assist with equipment repairs.
• Safety:
  Follow company safety policies, ensure all equipment guards and safety equipment are in place and operational, and implement lockout/tagout procedures.
• Production:
  Fill feed hoppers of Garnett machine, report accurate production performance, downtime, and runtime using touchscreen and RF equipment; maintain production information; set up machines for each work order; verify component parts; work with QC to meet ATC specifications.

• 2+ years machine maintenance experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• PC skills
• Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills
• Solid math skills
• Experience with basic equipment repair

• Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently carry objects up to 25 pounds
• Ability to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to withstand exposure to extreme climate variations; exposure to heat and cold
• Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb and/or squat
• Ability to frequently stand/walk
