Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead EHS programs and initiatives for a manufacturing operation in the Salt Lake City area. The facility manufactures and assembles server racks and related components, with a significant portion of the operation involving manual assembly and production activities.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for driving a strong safety culture, maintaining regulatory compliance, developing employees, and partnering with manufacturing leadership to proactively identify and reduce workplace risks.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment, previous supervisory experience, and strong working knowledge of programs such as Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, risk assessments, confined space, employee safety training, and OSHA recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental, health, and safety programs for a manufacturing and assembly operation.

- Manage, coach, and develop a team of three EHS professionals.

- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, facilities, operations, and site leadership to establish and maintain a strong safety culture.

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve site EHS policies, procedures, and programs.

- Maintain and oversee programs related to:

- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)- Electrical safety
- Machine and equipment safety
- Risk assessments and hazard identification
- Confined space
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)- Emergency preparedness
- Ergonomics
- Safe material handling
- Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.

- Lead and support incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.

- Oversee OSHA 300 recordkeeping and required EHS reporting.

- Develop and deliver employee safety training and ensure employees understand applicable policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

- Evaluate safety considerations associated with new equipment, manufacturing processes, and changes to existing operations.

- Monitor EHS performance metrics and communicate trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to site and corporate leadership.

- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety requirements.

- Serve as the primary site EHS resource while collaborating with the Director of EHS and broader organizational leadership.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing incidents, improving employee engagement, and strengthening overall EHS performance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

- 7+ years of progressive EHS experience.

- Significant EHS experience within a manufacturing environment is required.

- Previous supervisory or people-management experience.

- Hands-on experience with LOTO, electrical safety, risk assessments, confined space, and employee safety training.

- Experience managing OSHA recordkeeping, including OSHA 300 logs.

- Demonstrated ability to lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions.

- Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and general manufacturing safety practices.

- Ability to partner effectively with employees, supervisors, engineers, and senior manufacturing leadership.

- Strong communication, leadership, training, and organizational skills.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification strongly preferred.

- Additional EHS, occupational safety, or environmental certifications.

- Experience supporting manual assembly or electromechanical/electrical manufacturing operations.

- Experience developing and mentoring EHS professionals.

- Experience leading safety initiatives across a growing or evolving manufacturing operation.
