Habitat for Humanity Greater Salt Lake Area is seeking a Major Gifts Manager to grow and steward meaningful relationships with individual donors, business leaders, and community champions who believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home.
This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven fundraiser who thrives on connecting people to purpose, telling powerful stories, and turning generosity into lasting community impact.
What You’ll Do Major Gifts & Donor Relationships- Cultivate, steward, and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects
- Develop personalized engagement strategies that align donor passions with Habitat’s mission
- Conduct donor meetings, tours, and stewardship touchpoints
- Manage solicitation strategies for major gifts, multi‑year commitments, and special initiatives
- Work closely with the CEO and Development team to build and execute major gifts strategy
- Identify new donor prospects and partnership opportunities
- Support capital, programmatic, and special project fundraising efforts
- Track donor engagement and progress toward revenue goals
- Ensure meaningful donor recognition and impact reporting
- Partner with marketing and programs to share stories, outcomes, and success metrics
- Support special events, donor briefings, and community engagement activities
- Maintain accurate donor records and reporting within the CRMTrack donor activity, revenue, and pipeline performance
- Support forecasting and long‑term fundraising planning
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in major gifts or individual giving
- Proven success building and maintaining donor relationships
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Comfortable with donor meetings, asks, and stewardship conversations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Passion for affordable housing and community impact
- Experience working with major donors, foundations, or high‑net‑worth individuals
- Familiarity with donor CRM systems
- Experience supporting capital or multi‑year campaigns
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices
