RN ICU Nights

St. Mark's Hospital – Salt Lake City, UT

Overview

Join a highly-skilled, compassionate ICU Nurse team k's Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare. This role focuses on providing critical care expertise and excellent patient care in a modern, newly relocated ICU.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identify needs for intervention.
  • Demonstrate appropriate decision-making, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to make nursing decisions and identify health care needs.
  • Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
  • Assist in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of the patient's Plan of Care.
  • Monitor basic EKG, recognize rhythms, and intervene as needed.
  • Assist physicians with procedures such as intubation, line placement, and chest tubes.
  • Ensure ventilator, monitors, and other equipment function properly and troubleshoot alarms.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and ability to function well under stressful situations.
  • Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team.
Qualifications
  • Current Utah State RN license in good standing.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association; must obtain within 7 days of hire.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) certification; must obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • 1+ years ICU experience.
