Overview:
The RN Clinical Educator is responsible for employing clinical nursing expertise in a new way outside patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and advocating for patient well‑being through medical device technology. Focus is solely on education—no sales or bedside care. The role is part‑time per diem with a 9‑month project, guaranteeing 16 hours per week (often closer to 32 hours) and a wage range of $40‑45 per hour.
- Provide peer‑to‑peer education and in‑servicing to registered nurses, physicians, and hospital staff to support medical device implementations.
- Assess customer‑specific education needs and collaborate with staff to deliver a positive educational experience.
- Utilize clinical nursing expertise to answer questions and address concerns about the device.
- Provide updates, reports, and valuable feedback to the client during and after in‑service assignments.
- Active Registered Nurse license required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospital setting.
- Prior experience in clinical or staff education preferred.
- Prior leadership or precepting experience preferred.
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally.
- Comfortable teaching small or large groups.
- Customer‑focused and professional; strong brand representative.
- Willingness to comply with and adhere to hospital vendor access policies and guidelines.
Part‑time temporary; expected 9‑month project with 16 hours per week guaranteed, often closer to 32 hours per week. Employee will work specifically within the Intermountain Health System in Salt Lake City, UT, with limited out‑of‑state travel for training.
Compensation and BenefitsHourly wage $40‑45 per hour. Actual base pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and a range of health and welfare benefits may be offered.
