PS Nurse Practitioner - Lipid-Cardiology Redstone Clinic - Park City

University of Utah Health Sciences is seeking a motivated & enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner to work primarily at the Redstone community clinic in Park City, UT. This outpatient cardiology‑focused role involves both independent patient care and collaboration with physician partners and other advanced practice clinicians.

Required:

Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.

• Assess physical condition of patients, perform physical examinations, and obtain medical histories.
• Develop medical plans and prognoses based on patient findings.
• Collaborate with health‑care teams on patient care plans and treatments.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess clinical needs.
• Initiate and recommend drug therapies or procedures according to approved protocols.
• Maintain accurate, complete medical records and required documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and significant others regarding health and illness, promoting health maintenance.
• Plan, implement, and re‑evaluate care for patients requiring emergency measures.

• Perform essential job functions as outlined.
• Demonstrate clinical competence and in‑depth knowledge of the specialty area.
• Show leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills.
• Provide care appropriate to the population served.

• Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS.
• Utah State prescriptive privileges.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and national certification from a nationally accredited examination.
• Ability to obtain credentialing and privileging per UHPPM 1‑56 at hire.
• Patient‑sensitive employees required to be immunized per CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be granted for documented medical contraindications or sincerely held religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
