Pay Range
: $101,650 - $135,000

Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner) providing patient care in the Division of General Surgery, focusing on Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery patients as part of the Comprehensive Weight Management Program. Responsibilities include preoperative and postoperative care in outpatient and inpatient settings, operating room assistance, consultations, and weight loss education.
Responsibilities- Independent outpatient surgery clinic 1-2 days/week.
- Inpatient rounding, postoperative care, and hospital discharges.
- Assist in the operating room for laparoscopic and robotic procedures (approx. 1-3 days/month).
- Cover consultations from emergency department or other hospital services.
- Treat vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
- Provide dietary and lifestyle education to promote weight loss.
- Respond to outpatient messages and telephone calls.
- Participate in continuing medical education and specialty meetings, clubs, boards, conferences.
- Assist in research collection and special projects.
Minimum
:
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
Preferred
:
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, ATLS.
- Utah State prescriptive privileges.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent with current Nurse Practitioner license and national certification.
- Experience with credentialing and privileging at the time of hire.
