RN PACU

RN PACU – St. Mark's Hospital

St. Mark's Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, invites applications for the RN PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) role. This position supports immediate post-operative care for surgical patients and requires strong clinical skills, teamwork, and the ability to respond swiftly to complications.

As a PACU Registered Nurse you will provide high‑quality care, monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, manage wound care, and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams. The role includes on‑call availability during select non‑business hours.

• Self / preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance
• Supportive visible leadership that promotes a collaborative, respectful team culture
• Staffing support from Certified Nurse Assistance, Patient Care Techs, Charge Nurses, and an RN float pool
• Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while managing evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team (providers, therapy, etc.)
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care
• Assess patient condition, monitor through your shift, and document changes thoroughly
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment and follow‑up measures

• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support and Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree obtained within 30 days of start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within 90 days of start date
• Previous PACU experience strongly preferred; at least 2 years ICU or ER experience required if no PACU background
