American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care/IMC RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center requiring telemetry interpretation and NIHSS certification.

• Work in a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMC)
• 4:1 patient ratios
• Care for cardiac, neuro, and progressive care patients
• Charge nurse without assignment when census allows
• Patient Care Technicians available on each shift
• Dedicated telemetry monitoring support
• Uses continuous cardiac monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and Alaris IV infusion pumps
• TEE/Cardioversion procedures performed on the unit
• EPIC EMR documentation system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over 13 weeks
• 4 weekend shifts required within a 4-week period
• Holiday rotation required
• Float within competency as needed

• Active UT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• Experience managing cardiac, neuro, and PCU patients required
• Advanced skills preferred: vasoactive drip management, chest tube care, high-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, post-cardiac procedure care, and rapid response participation
• Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide bedside shift report and hourly rounding in alignment with patient-centered care standards
• Work within a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center
• Required dress code:
  Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
