American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support expertise for a night shift contract requiring a UT or compact RN license.

• Work in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit specializing in cardiovascular care
• Care for post cardiac surgery patients (not directly from OR)
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:30-7:00) with possible rotating day/night shifts
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active UT or compact RN license required, in hand prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with CRRT, Swan-Ganz monitoring, and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) required, including Impella, IABP, and LVAD/RVAD/ECMO
• Proficient in arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experienced in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation
• Competent in managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular surgical patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support
• Up to 10 days RTO available per 13-week contract, with additional RTO prorated for longer assignments
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous full-time employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers under any circumstances
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
