Summary:

Most weeks employee is expected to work Monday – Friday 9am‑5pm. Hours may vary occasionally depending on experimental schedule.
Location: Campus, Salt Lake City, UT

Job Summary: Performs non-technical procedures in a research laboratory and maintains laboratory facilities, equipment and records.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the physical environment of the lab.
  • Prepares facility for daily use.
  • May file and maintain research records and logs of research data.
  • May handle and treat animals.

The incumbent follows well-established laboratory procedures to complete work. Sensitive or unusual situations are referred to the supervisor. Work is performed under the close supervision of senior laboratory personnel. Work is frequently reviewed for accuracy and to ensure adherence to research protocols.

Minimum Qualifications: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience. Research Technician, I requires little to no related experience. Research Technician, II requires at least 1 year of related experience. Research Technician, III requires 3+ years of related experience. Research Technician, IV requires 5+ years of related experience.
