bio Merieux 515 Colorow Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84104
Wage range: $16.50 plus shift premiums for weekends.
Schedule:
Wednesday-Sunday 6am-2:30pm. Full-time role offering benefits as described below.
- Prepare and Cook:
Receive and prepare food orders for staff, visitors, and catering events using your culinary skills. - Short-Order Cooking:
Master the art of short-order cooking with established techniques to create delicious menu items. - High-Quality Production:
Ensure all food is produced in a high-quality, timely, and consistent manner to meet menu and customer standards. - Customer Rapport:
Develop rapport with customers while upholding the values and mission of Thomas Cuisine. - Leadership:
Motivate team members with your leadership through teamwork. - Stock Management:
Set up and stock the grill station with necessary supplies. - Product Handling:
Handle, store, and rotate all products in the station or walk-in cooler properly. - Team Cooperation:
Cook and prep menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. - Proper Techniques:
Follow proper techniques and presentation for all dishes. - Food Safety:
Practice correct food handling and storage procedures according to company and state regulations. - Professional Conduct:
Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with customers and team. - Safety Reporting:
Report unsafe conditions, operational needs, and equipment issues to management. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Enthusiasm for cooking and learning new techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Walk and stand during the shift as needed.
- Ability to interact with managers, clients, team members, and guests.
- Serv Safe Certification and State Food Handlers Card.
- Eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify may be used).
- High School Diploma/GED.
Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; push/pull up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping; manual dexterity; visual and hearing abilities; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; sense of taste and smell; ability to distinguish colors for food presentation.
