Business Development Representative (BDR)

Our client, a high-growth startup in the Insur Tech space, is seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Representative to join their remote team. A Day in the Life of a Founding BDR

As a BDR, you'll be at the forefront of our client’s growth engine, introducing the company to mid-market decision-makers across a variety of industries. You'll work closely with the Growth team to generate qualified leads, build repeatable outreach strategies, and set the tone for future BDR hires.

Responsibilities include:
  • Make a high volume of cold calls daily to book discovery meetings
  • Own outreach end-to-end: script execution, objection handling, and handoff
  • Research prospects in real time to personalize each conversation
  • Help shape outbound strategy, talk tracks, and sales messaging
  • Collaborate with the Growth team to refine playbooks and outreach strategy
  • Participate in weekly reviews to evaluate and improve performance
Requirements and

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of BDR/SDR experience
  • Prior experience in outbound sales, cold calling, and appointment setting
  • Strong passion for sales and commitment to mastering the craft
  • High energy, self-driven, and reliable in a remote environment
  • Clear, confident communicator, especially on the phone
  • Comfortable engaging with executive-level prospects
  • Personality that demonstrates self-motivation, integrity, and an ability to collaborate with others
