VIE 6 Months USA - Biological Engineer - Product Industrial Support

Join bioMérieux as a Biological Engineer – Product Industrial Support in a VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) 6‑month program based in Salt Lake City, Utah, starting mid‑2026, then moving to the La Balme‑les‑Grottes site.

• Industrialize products: verify product performance and conduct related testing.
• Support transversal teams mobilized on the project.
• Ensure compliance of future products with validation, quality, and production standards.
• Design, plan, and execute tests, providing technical expertise, meeting deadlines, and complying with current quality and safety standards.
• Participate in the “System Validation” team in R&D: develop performance verification methods, test protocols, analysis tools, and quality standards; understand the product manufacturing process and the entire validation workflow.
• Carry out product performance verification under real conditions and resolve non‑conformities encountered during testing.
• Document best practices and participate in drafting procedures.

• Master’s or Engineering degree in molecular biology, microbiology, or equivalent.
• Initial experience in molecular biology, ideally in an industrial role.
• Strong knowledge in molecular biology (extraction, PCR, RT‑PCR, microarray), biology, and microbiology (strain culture, handling biological samples).
• Ability to analyze results, detect anomalies, and write technical documentation.
• Comfortable with digital tools (Excel, lab software, databases).
• Versatility to manage urgent situations and organize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys working in multidisciplinary and project‑based teams.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills: able to convey information clearly and effectively.
