OverviewThe Casing Driller (Deep Foundation and Tie Back Driller) is an essential member of the frontline team, responsible for drilling holes, monitoring their condition, and leading crews in the operation and care of drilling equipment. This role requires working outdoors year-round, sometimes in extreme conditions, and engaging in strenuous physical labor.
Who is Geo Stabilization International?Geo Stabilization International (GSI) develops and installs solutions to protect people and infrastructure from geohazards, including emergency landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting. Operating across the US, Canada, and Australia, GSI is a leader in geohazard mitigation and bridge rehabilitation.
Responsibilities- Perform essential maintenance tasks, including greasing, to ensure drilling equipment functionality.
- Communicate effectively within the team and with superintendents regarding maintenance and operational updates.
- Apply extensive knowledge of drill upkeep and preventive maintenance to prolong equipment life and maintain cleanliness.
- Accurately fill out drill logs and maintain project documentation.
- Work in loud environments while adhering to safety protocols and wearing PPE.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of geotechnical experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to meet daily production targets
- Ability to read blueprints
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to three weeks at a time)
- Proficiency in welding
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Knowledge of tooling and drilling techniques
- Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Valid CDL (preferred)
- Managerial experience (preferred)
Work varies from tropical to desert climates, with moderate noise levels requiring hearing protection. Exposure to construction site hazards and heavy lifting (50 lbs+) is common.
Hourly rate: $28.00 - $35.00
Travel: 100%, with a schedule of 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
