Field Weld Technician

Description

Field Machinist/Welder will perform welding repairs and fabrication on all types of machinery in the field or shop. Work will be conducted at mine site and construction site locations, including welding, cutting, ARC gouging, layout, line bore welding, and machining.

Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding repairs on machinery, buckets, dozer blades, etc.
• CDL and medical card; comply with DOT Regulations.
• Current MSHA certification.
• Excellent skills with cutting torch and ARC gouging.
• Certified welder with field welding experience.
• Dependable and willing to meet customer expectations.
• Ability to accomplish work with minimal supervision.
• Good computer and report writing skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to support management.
• Experienced in line bore welding and machining.
• Experience fitting weldments per designed prints.
