Airport General Maintenance Worker III
Full-Time – 40 hours per week. Position Type:
Full-Time. Department:
Airport. Scheduled
Hours:
40 per week.
$25.86 – $34.02 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and advanced maintenance tasks in repair and general maintenance of airport buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and address basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting repairs.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and job orders to determine necessary materials and layout work.
- Operate hand, power, and heavy equipment as required, ensuring safety and quality on every project.
- Act as a lead worker when assigned a crew, assisting in training subordinates, assigning tasks, and preparing daily report sheets.
- Inspect projects and work performed by other maintenance workers.
- Maintain safety procedures, conduct hazard assessments, and comply with OSHA requirements for all assigned tasks.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High‑school diploma and six years of experience; education and experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standards, practices, materials, and methods used in craft trades, and knowledge of city and state codes and ordinances pertinent to the trade.
- Demonstrated ability to perform skilled maintenance work.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various hand and power tools, as well as heavy equipment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Valid Utah State Commercial Driver’s License.
- Moderately heavy physical activity; may require standing, walking, or sitting for long periods.
- Exposure to extreme weather, noise, dust, fumes, and other elements.
- Intermittent exposure to stress from human interaction.
- Manual dexterity necessary for lifting or moving heavy objects.
