Senior Full-Stack Engineer

This role is challenging – above and beyond the day‑to‑day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast‑paced team.

This position will report into the Director of Engineering.

• Build, design and maintain high‑quality, scalable full‑stack applications using React, Next JS, Type Script, Java, Node JS and modern frameworks.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools like Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Co‑Pilot, Perplexity or similar technologies to streamline development, enhance user experiences, and deliver innovative solutions at scale.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to bring ideas to life across Backcountry, Competitive Cyclist, Moto Sport, and Steepand Cheap.
• Write clean, modular, and well‑documented code that’s easy to maintain and expand.
• Advocate for simple, scalable solutions by understanding business problems deeply.
• Proactively identify technical improvements and recommend architectural enhancements.
• Lead by example in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices.
• Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle – requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Monitor systems in production and provide day‑to‑day support, ensuring stability and performance.
• Occasionally lead a small squad of 2‑3 engineers from planning to execution.

• Senior‑level full‑stack development experience with expertise in React, Next.js, Type Script, Java and Node JS.
• Strong knowledge of modern web development concepts, design patterns, and architecture.
• Experience with AI technologies like Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar tools to support full‑stack development and user engagement strategies (plus).
• Experience in cloud environments (GCP/AWS) and with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and No

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and Dev Ops best practices (nice‑to‑have).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Passion for clean code, unit testing, and performance optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
