We are looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to implement solutions to enhance the video and media capabilities of our CX Engine application and its integration with Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate is well versed in video technologies, including video encoding and decoding. The candidate should be versatile, display leadership, and be enthusiastic when taking on new problems across the full-stack as we push our technology forward.

• Provides mentoring to less senior members of the development team, when appropriate.
• Set forth quality code guidelines and standards, leads code reviews and ensures that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
• Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the Engineering and Executive teams.
• Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Push the limits, try new technologies, take calculated risks, swing for the fences and proactively search for the best solutions and ideas in the marketplace.

• Bachelor's in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 6+ years as a software engineer, ideally in media/video.
• Strong skills in modern C++.
• Experience with low-latency encoding/decoding for high-res real-time video, plus knowledge of codecs and streams.
• Solid grasp of video streaming (protocols, codecs, adaptive streaming).
• Optimization expertise: memory, CPU/GPU for smooth performance.
• Share design ideas openly and listen to others.
• Work solo or in teams; adapt to tight deadlines.
• Familiar with Visual Studio and Git.
• Knowledge of broadcast standards (SMPTE).
• Experience with machine vision cameras.
• Familiarity with GStreamer/FFmpeg.
• Hands-on with 3D engines like Unreal: source code mods, C++ plugins, shaders, Direct
  
  X integration.
• Experience with nDisplay or multi-node rendering.
• Passion for automating, testing, and documenting.
• Thrive in open, honest team settings.
• Interest in gaming, live-streaming, sports, or eSports.
• Highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented.
