About the Role
Data Platform Engineer III – Hybrid Office 3 days/week – Onsite‑Flex within Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah
. Build scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions on Snowflake and AWS, collaborating with product teams to deliver value to our members.
- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using ETL and ELT on cloud platforms.
- Develop data integration solutions to connect various data sources to a unified source and support a single source of truth.
- Write efficient code in SQL and Python and automate workflows for data ingestion, transformation and application integration.
- Research, identify and resolve highly technical programming problems for Product and Business partners.
- Deliver high‑quality work on time, adhere to coding standards, and document system designs and test cases.
- Participate in regular status reporting, on‑call duties as defined by management, and continuous learning of new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 6‑8+ years of application and database development experience.
- 6+ years of launching, maintaining and testing data products and 3+ years of data modeling and architecture experience.
- 6+ years of proficiency in writing complex, efficient SQL scripts and windowing functions.
- 4+ years of experience on cloud platforms such as Snowflake and AWS.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience building and maintaining batch data pipelines using Airflow, Spark, EMR, S3, etc.
- Strong dedication to code quality, automation and operational excellence including CI/CD pipelines and unit/integration tests.
- Experience working with modern SQL orchestration tools such as DBT, Mode or Airflow.
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources into unified targets and managing data warehouse costs.
- Proficient with defensive programming and adherence to Cambia coding standards.
- Adaptability to changing technologies and methodologies for limited scope business needs.
Competitive base salary of $120k–$145k plus a 15% bonus target, supplemented by a market‑leading 401(k) with company match, generous paid time off, health, dental and vision coverage, mental health benefits, paid parental time off, and wellness programs.
