Job PurposeAlpine Air is currently seeking a Ramp Agent to be located at their Salt Lake City, UT company site. The Ramp Agent will be responsible for all ground servicing of the aircraft, including loading and unloading of baggage and cargo and fueling the aircraft. Work is performed outside, in all weather conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities- Observe safety and FAA regulations
- Transferring cargo from vehicles to cargo planes
- Parking, towing, moving, fueling, and marshalling arriving and departing aircraft
- De-icing the aircraft and GPU starting the aircraft
- Providing shuttle service for crew and assist with baggage
- Practice safe lifting methods
- Preferred candidates will possess private pilot's license
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds to shoulder height
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Be available for flexible schedule depending on aircraft arrivals and departures and cargo load
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Required to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- High school diploma or GED required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work for this position is performed outside, regardless of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position is a Part‑Time position. Paid Time Off, eight (8) paid holidays per year, and 401(k) with generous employer match are available immediately upon employment.
Physical RequirementsRegularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend, twist, lift, and practice safe lifting methods. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
