Position: LPN for Community Care at Island Health
Location: Salt Spring Island Electoral Area

Empower patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Island Health in Home & Community Care, located on Salt Spring Island, BC. Travel across multiple sites is a vital aspect of this role.

In this casual position, the Licensed Practical Nurse will provide quality patient care through personal services and thorough assessments while collaborating with healthcare teams. Your commitment to safety and quality care is essential, and you'll be expected to support Community Health Workers in delivering effective care. A valid BC driver’s license is required for travel purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement personal care and nursing practices for clients

• Execute home assessments and document findings

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team

• Mentor Community Health Workers in care techniques

• Follow operational protocols and quality standards

Requirements:

• Registration as a practicing LPN with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Education in Mental Health/Substance Use care preferred

• Basic Life Support, Level C certification a must

• At least two years of relevant nursing experience

• Valid BC Driver's license necessary
