Lookout Housing and Health Society is hiring Tenant Support Workers on Salt Spring Island, BC. This casual position emphasizes tenant support, skills training, and behavioral assessments.
As a Tenant Support Worker, you’ll be dedicated to assisting individuals facing socio-economic challenges. Your work will significantly impact their journey to independence through structured support and effective intervention strategies.
Experience with addiction support and crisis intervention is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in tenant intakes and evaluations
• Identify and address individual tenant challenges
• Provide continuous support for basic needs
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with volunteers for enhanced service delivery
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service
• At least two years of related work experience
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
• First Aid and Food Safe Certifications if relevant
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
