We are currently looking for an adaptable and enthusiastic Supply Teacher with experience delivering high-quality teaching across primary school settings within the St Barnabas MAT on a full time basis. Skilled in maintaining effective classroom management, delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. This job would be best suited to someone committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that enables all pupils to achieve their full potential.
The RoleAs a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and policies.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils, including those with SEND and EAL needs.
- Assess and monitor pupil engagement and progress during lessons.
- Provide clear feedback and handover notes to the class teacher at the end of each assignment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents while representing the school professionally.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
- Support school activities and contribute positively to the wider school community when required.
- Demonstrate flexibility by teaching across different year groups and subjects as needed.
We are looking for an educator who:
- Has obtained and maintained Qualified Teacher Status.
- Has a clear understanding of Safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
- Is adaptable and comfortable working with different year groups, in different schools.
- Is confident delivering a number of different subjects, at different age and ability levels.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.
- Can build strong, positive relationships with children.
