We are seeking a Management Accountant to join an established international manufacturing business based in Saltash. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance function through the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow reporting, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support business performance, process improvements, and operational finance activities within a fast‑paced environment.
This is a permanent, full‑time on‑site opportunity.
Monday to Friday (4‑and‑a‑half‑day week - £40,000 - £45,000 - Permanent opportunity).
Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly management accounts and year‑end accounts.
- Analysis and reporting of margins, variances, and financial trends.
- Preparation and maintenance of detailed cashflow forecasts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial reporting.
- Review and analysis of product costings and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Administration of VAT, PAYE, pensions, insurance, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Support overseas subsidiaries and liaise with external accountants and banks where required.
- Oversee sales ledger and credit control activities to maximise cash collection.
- Support the smooth running of the finance department, including payroll, reconciliations, expenses, and ledger activities.
- Contribute towards finance process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar senior finance position.
- Experience producing management accounts independently.
- Manufacturing or stock accounting experience would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Sage 200 or similar ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
