Hygiene Operative

Permanent contract, Part‑time – 21 hours per week, Grade 1 Salary Scale + Benefits

Appleby Westward are looking for a reliable and motivated Hygiene Operative to join our busy Warehouse team. This is an essential role within the operation, helping to maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised working environment to support our colleagues and operational standards.

As a Hygiene Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out housekeeping duties within the Warehouse safely, ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Collecting cardboard and plastic waste, ensuring refuse cages are not overloaded or poorly stacked, and baling waste correctly for collection
• Dealing with spillages promptly and safely, using appropriate signage where required to minimise risk to colleagues
• Taking responsibility for any workplace trucks or equipment used, including battery charging and reporting faults in line with procedures
• Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements at all times
• Part‑time – Sunday & Monday: 2pm – 10pm, Tuesday: 5pm – 10pm (21 hours per week).
