This role is ideal for tutors and educators who want to make a real difference by supporting students who may struggle in mainstream education. Many learners need additional support due to SEN, SEMH needs, anxiety, or gaps in learning, and your guidance can help rebuild both confidence and academic progress.
About the Role
You will provide personalised 1:1 tuition to students in Years 3–9 (KS2–KS3). Sessions are delivered in homes, libraries, community settings, or learning hubs, depending on the needs of each learner.
You’ll have the freedom to adapt lessons to each student, helping them re-engage with education and develop the confidence they need to succeed.
This is a high-impact tutoring role where strong relationships, patience, and creativity are just as important as subject knowledge.

* Plan lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
* Adapt learning to meet SEN and SEMH needs
* Support learners who may have missed school or need additional intervention
* Build strong, supportive relationships with students
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to the tuition team
* Encourage confidence, resilience, and independence
Essential Requirements
* Experience teaching or tutoring KS2–KS3 learners (ages 7–14)
* Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH
* Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
* Patient, calm, and supportive teaching approach
* Ability to adapt teaching to individual learners
* Ability to work independently in community settings
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
* Experience in alternative provision, intervention, or catch-up programmes
* Experience delivering 1:1 outreach tuition
What We Offer
* Competitive PAYE hourly rates
* Flexible working hours to suit your availability
* Free CPD and training webinars
* Ongoing support from a dedicated tuition team
* Opportunities for additional tutoring work
* A rewarding role where you can change a young person’s educational journey
