CHEF – Nursing & Residential Homes (Agency Work)

Spire Staffing are recruiting Chefs to join our growing agency pool, supporting local Nursing Homes, Residential Homes and Care Services with short‑term and long‑term cover.

As an Agency Chef, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking meals for residents in line with menu plans
• Catering for dietary requirements (soft diets, diabetic, allergies, cultural preferences, etc.)
• Ensuring food is served on time and to a high standard
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Following all Food Safety
  , COSHH and Health & Safety procedures
• Working closely with care staff and management to meet resident needs

• Previous experience as a Chef / Cook (ideally in a care or catering environment)
• Strong knowledge of Food Hygiene and allergen awareness
• Ability to work independently and manage kitchen duties confidently
• A professional, reliable and caring attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (we can help if needed)
• Experience in nursing homes/residential care settings

• Enhanced DBS (or be on the Update Service)
• Right to Work checks
• Reference checks
• Mandatory training (support available)
