Process Safety Engineer

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting HSSE management systems, inspections, audits and action tracking.
• Providing practical process safety, risk management and compliance guidance.
• Supporting risk assessments, safe operating procedures and control measures.
• Helping ensure compliance with legislation, company policy and local procedures, including COMAH and ER2014.
• Contributing to incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Championing safe behaviours and continuous improvement across the site.

You’ll be a confident and credible safety professional who can influence positive change and turn process safety requirements into practical ways of working.

• A degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health, Process Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in an HSSE role within a high-hazard manufacturing environment.
• Strong risk assessment, incident investigation and root cause analysis experience.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Advanced IT skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of explosive safety principles, ER2014, COMAH Regulations and relevant business systems would be beneficial.
