The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.
Job Duties- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and fao1ily approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
CommunicationAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands to rapidly and accurately make precise movements. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work ConditionsExposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in the cooler to over 90 °F in some work areas. Sudden temperature changes in work areas and while outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including a walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from the oven up to 500 °F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical DemandsStanding:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Walking: short distances. Sitting: paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table. Lifting: bulk product deliveries are loaded twice a week or more using a hand truck; deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 lbs. Carrying: large containers weighing 3 lb 7 oz, pizza sauce weighing 30 lb, trays of dough weighing 12 lb.
Pushing: move trays on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 lb. Climbing: navigate stairs or a ladder. Stooping/bending: forward bending at the waist required at the pizza assembly station, lasting 30‑45 seconds repeatedly. Squatting: performed occasionally. Reaching: up, down, and forward; occasionally above 72 in. Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; constant hand use, shaping dough, manipulating pizza peel and cutter.
