Product Design Engineer

Our client, a leading company in plastics sector based in Samsun, is looking for a Product Design Engineer.

• Creating the part architecture of multi-component products,
• Designing parts compatible with injection molding and automation,
• Taking an active role in prototype, sample, and mass production processes,
• Coordinating and tracking relevant departments such as the mold shop, production, assembly, quality control, and laboratory within the framework of project management,
• Monitoring market developments of existing product(s) and conducting work to improve performance,
• Continuously monitoring products throughout their lifecycle to maintain quality,
• Closely following innovations and revising products according to developing conditions and market dynamics,
• Evaluating non-conforming products based on laboratory test results and revising designs accordingly,
• Promptly reporting issues occurring in assigned processes to the manager without disrupting the workflow, and ensuring resolution,
• Developing suggestions for continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement in assigned processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or related engineering disciplines,
• Advanced knowledge of Solid Works or other CAD software,
• Knowledge of technical drawing, dimensioning, and basic GD&T,
• Preferably at least 3 years of experience in plastic part design within the irrigation systems, automotive, or home appliances sectors,
• Proficient in injection molding rules,
• Strong competencies in research and development, analytical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and solution-orientation,
• Excellent communication, representation, public speaking, and coordination skills,
• Proficient in MS Office programs, with strong planning, reporting, and presentation skills,
• Knowledgeable in Ansys and Moldflow analysis,
• High experience in product design optimization and feasibility studies,
• Proficient in product development processes and highly experienced in project management,
• Dynamic and able to take an active role in project processes,
• Residing or willing to reside in Samsun.
