Base pay range

$44,000.00/yr - $48,000.00/yr

Overview

Under general supervision, performs a variety of assigned accounting functions. Accounts payable, payroll processing, journal entries, bank reconciliation, inventory control, and fiscal monitoring are chief duties in this position. Works under supervision of the Director of Finance.

Job Duties
  • Classify, code, and data entry for accounts payable including reconciling purchase orders
  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Data entry for general journal entries
  • Prepare and process billing invoices
  • Fiscal monitoring of subrecipient when assigned
  • Process weekly cash draw calculation
  • Process monthly bank reconciliation
  • Assist in financial reporting
  • Assist in preparation of special reports such as cost data or payroll
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Coursework in bookkeeping, finance or accounting preferred.
  • Familiar with accounting principles, preferably fund based accounting.
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver s license, agree to maintain satisfactory MVR, and minimum insurability required by law, or available alternative means of transportation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems.
  • Skill in the use of a personal computer and related office equipment.
  • Ability to review work for accuracy, accurately perform numerical detail work, make arithmetical computations, and prepare financial and accounting records.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, formatting, and simple chart creation.
